Specification Readiness

What does your product need to get specified?

We identify the gaps, create or improve the content, and help place it where specifiers look.

  • BIM & Design Files

Revit, SketchUp, CAD, and other design content built around how your products are actually selected and used.

Design files with accurate geometry, useful product data and appropriate parameters, built for real project workflows.

  • Website Resources

Make your website a reliable source for current product information and specification resources.

Product pages and resource libraries kept current, so specifiers can evaluate options and download the files they need.

One source. Consistent everywhere.

Your product information shouldn't change depending on where an architect finds it. We organize the source information, then use it to keep your technical content, design files, website resources, and platform listings aligned.

When a product changes, we update every affected file, page, and listing from the same source.

How it works.

  1. Phase01

    Discovery

We review what you have, what your specifiers need, and where the gaps are. Then we define the work and send a clear scope, timeline, and quote.

We review what you have against what specifiers need, find the gaps, and send a clear scope, timeline and quote.

  2. Phase02

    Content Development

We create or improve what your products need to get specified: BIM and design files, datasheets, guide specifications, product data, or other specifier-facing content.

  3. Phase03

    Technical Review

We check every deliverable against your approved product information and test design files in the target software. You confirm accuracy, and we refine until it is ready.

Parto and Soroush - Co-founders of Eidetic Design

Why Eidetic

Parto & Soroush

We understand both sides: what manufacturers need to communicate and what architects need to receive.

Parto is a practicing interior technologist at a Canadian architecture firm with a Bachelor of Architecture. She has spent a decade specifying products in Revit and CAD. She knows what makes architects trust and adopt a Revit family, because she's been the architect frustrated by bad ones.

Soroush is a PhD researcher at UPEI with a background in engineering, 3D systems, and computational workflows. He builds the technical systems that turn manufacturer product information into accurate, consistent specification content across files, documentation, and digital channels.

Common questions.

Revit is the software most architects use to design buildings. A Revit family is a digital version of your product that architects can drag directly into their building designs, complete with accurate dimensions, materials, and specification data. If your product isn't in Revit, architects working under deadline will specify a competitor's product that is.

General-purpose 3D models aren't the same as specification-ready BIM files. A professional Revit family includes parametric dimensions, material data, and metadata that architects need for construction documents. Your existing files likely don't include this. A poorly built Revit family can be worse than having none at all, because it creates friction in the architect's workflow.

Pricing is per-product and depends on complexity. A simple wall accessory costs less than a configurable furniture system with multiple finishes. We provide a detailed, transparent quote after reviewing your product data. No surprises.

Typical turnaround is 2 to 4 weeks per product batch, depending on complexity and revision cycles. We include a timeline estimate with every quote, and most projects complete within 1 to 2 revision rounds.

Yes. We can work from product photos, spec sheets, physical samples, or any combination. CAD data speeds up the process but is not required. Many of our projects start with nothing more than a product catalog and a spec sheet.

We keep an approved source set for each product. When something changes, we update the affected files, pages, and listings from it. That is usually a fraction of the original work.
